Newcomer Todd Wallenius spent part of 2009 playing Down Under. Now he brings his game over to Kitsap. A California native and Whitman College graduate, Wallenius spent six months last season playing at the University of Otago in New Zealand, where he finished with five goals and three assists in 10 matches in the Otago Premier League. A two-time all-conference player in college, Wallenius enjoys reading books by author Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Also a ping pong champion, the 22-year-old spends his free time painting, listening to music, going to the beach and stretching while keeping an eye out for any sharks. He says he would be working toward teaching degree if he weren’t playing soccer.
